I am writing to thank you for a copy of your letter to Mr Arvin explaining your diagnosis of my situation following my visit to your clinic recently. The letter is very informative as far as I am concerned although not exactly what I wanted to be told. Copying me your letter is, I feel, respectful and informative. I very often attend Broomfield Hospital and always receive an excellent service in all departments. That said some of the consultants carry out certain tasks which to me and my wife appear more than is their remit. These little things mean a lot to us and I feel you have done the little extra that makes our problem a little easier to bear.

I just want to drop you and your team a note to express my gratitude for your arthroscopy operation of my left knee. I was very impressed with the precision and calm of the procedure and your informative analysis of my medical condition.

After two years of intolerable pain, I now see a light at the end of the tunnel and look forward to seeing the outside world once more to continue my journey of life.

I am writing to let you know, once again, how impressed I was with the treatment I received. As last time, Mr Johal and his team performed the surgery – I was given all the information I needed before the operation by the doctors involved and staff in surgery admissions, who were all very helpful, friendly and kind. After the operation, I was in ward 12B where I was looked after extremely well. I received excellent attention from all the staff there. They were all caring, friendly and understanding.
The physiotherapists are of the same high standard as before – firm but caring. What struck me was that most of the team that I met before, were still there – this surely is a firm indication of a good hospital. I have sent a letter to Bucks Free Press.
